Wal-Mart to Implement Temporary Price Drop for Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Bundle

There’s a good chance that Wal-Mart might be making a price drop for the Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle for $249.99 ($50 off).  As part of their Rollback ad in their magazine, the price drop is expected to happen on August 28th through September 5th.

It was verified that not only was this a Wal-Mart only deal, but it was Wal-Mart’s decision to make this deal, which confirms that this is not Microsoft’s reaction to PlayStation 3’s recent price drop or Microsoft’s decision at all.

Microsoft’s statement:

Walmart made an independent decision to implement this temporary price cut. We’ve made no announcements about price drops, and do not discuss our pricing plans in advance. Xbox is the number-one selling console in the U.S. for 13 of the past 14 months, and is showing record growth. With an incredible line-up of games and entertainment, we’re expecting the biggest year in Xbox history as the best-selling console worldwide.

Purchase the item here when the deal goes live on Sunday the 28th before they run out.
