AmazonBasics Large DSLR Gadget Bag Review

Last year I was looking for a camera bag to go with my Canon T3i, the kit lens, and a “thrifty fifty” lens that I picked up. I wanted plenty of storage, but I didn’t want to spend a ton of money. I looked at an official bag from Canon, but I ended up settling on the AmazonBasics Large DSLR Gadget Bag.

As the name suggests, the bag is pretty beefy.

Interior dimensions: 10-inches by 5-inches by 7-inches.

The bag features a double-protected main section, two side pouches, a large front pouch, a four-foot long carrying strap with a cushioned, heavy-duty shoulder pad that clips to both sides, adjustable straps for the top section, in case you want to store a foldable tripod, rubber feet on the bottom, and two adjustable suitcase straps that extend out to 4.5-inches.

Inside the main section, there is a slot store an 8-inch tablet and four velcro dividers to cushion a full-body DSLR, up to three lenses, and anything else you have room for. There is a mesh zipper pouch at the top, which is great for storing memory cards, cables, and screen wipes.

The front zipper slot has has a pouch perfect for storing a notepad or a large smartphone. There are two slots for pens or markers, a mesh zipper pouch in the front of that for keeping memory cards, and room between them for storing cables or anything else you can think of.

There are two 5 by 5 by 1-inch side pouches that I use to store my wall charger and spare batteries.

Now that I’ve gone over all the specs of the case that I could think of, how well does it perform? This case has exceeded my expectations in all regards – and for less than half the price of similar cases. After owning mine for over a year and taking it on many trips, I definitely recommend picking one of these up.

For all the features and the excellent value AmazonBasics Large DSLR Gadget Bag has, I’m giving this a 10 out of 10.

If you’re not a fan of the bright orange interior, they also have a gray version available.
