Rage to release 3 Disks on Xbox 360 Console / 8GB Download for PS3
At this weekend’s Eurogamer Expo, Tim Willits, from id Software, confirmed that Rage will be a humongous game and will be distributed on 3 disks for the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 version fits on one disk and will have an 8GB install. In a recent interview, Willits praised Sony for their developer-friendly arrangement.
“Sony was great. Kudos to Sony for letting us do that. They don’t allow every game to do that. So definitely, hats off,” he said. “What we were able to do is install all the textures to the highest level. What is nice about the PS3 platform is that it’s just one platform. Everyone has one Blu-ray drive, one hard drive, it’s all the same. Some of the other systems you have… should I install it on my 360? Should I not install it? So yes, it’s very nice. – Willits
For those who look forward to install the game on their Xbox 360 hard drive, there is no need to worry. Only the first disk is needed after the installation.
