Windows 8 Release Date Announced – Upgrades for $40

Microsoft finally has an official release date for Windows 8 – October 26th of this year. Current Windows XP, Vista, and 7 users will have an inexpensive upgrade path at only $39.99 for the digital copy of Windows 8 Pro, which gives you a single-PC key and several ways to download it. Other pricing has yet to be announced, but is rumored to be at or slightly below current Windows 7 Pricing.
