The X-Files to Return to TV for a 6-Episode Event Series

After 13 years off the air, The X-Files will be returning to Fox for a six-episode “event series”. Yes — David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be reprising their roles as Agent’s Mulder and Scully, so this isn’t some kind of half-hearted attempt at a reboot. At the helm is the original creator and executive producer of The X-Files, Chris Carter. Carter said to “think of it as a 13-year commercial break. The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.”

I watched the show growing up and recently started re-watching it on Amazon Prime’s Instant Video service,  so I look forward to catching up on the show before this premiers. Production of the event series is scheduled for this Summer.
