Just Buy the iPad 3? Apple Announces the iPad 4, Lightning Connector & A6X

If you were distracted by the prospects of a 7.9″ iPad Mini, then you might have missed the iPad 4 announcement. The fourth generation iPad is likely to upset iPad 3 buyers, since the device is only 7 months old. The iPad 4 adds the new Lightning connector and an A6X processor, which is said to double the graphics performance. The device will be available November 2nd, along with the iPad mini.

The iPad 4 feels like more of a refresh than a complete redesign, but does include a few new features that sets it apart from the 3rd Generation iPad, such as the Lightning connector, A6X, dedicated image processor similar to the one featured in the iPhone 5, and expanded LTE Compatibility.
