Google Galaxy Nexus to Ship with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)

Looks like Google’s phone, the Galaxy Nexus, will be shipping soon with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) pre-loaded. If you are unfamiliar with the Galaxy Nexus, Google has been selling the GSM variant without a contract and unlocked, so it will work on any GSM carrier with HSPA+ at up to 21Mbps.

Google recently dropped the price of the phone to $349, which makes this a very tempting phone if you are looking to stay off contract or upgrade on your own.

We will post an update when the Galaxy Nexus phones are back on the Google Play Store.
