CIA Chief Says a Cyber Attack Could be the Next Pearl Harbor
CIA Chief Panetta made a statement earlier that likely made some ears perk up. “The next Pearl Harbor we confront could very well be a cyber attack that cripples our power systems, our grid, our security systems, our financial systems, our governmental systems..”
This after several government websites have been targeted by various hacking groups, including Lulz Security. Lulz Sec has already hacked and released well over a million user accounts from various websites including Sony, PBS, and Bethedesa.
We’ll see what type of response this will receive – as previous responses to backlash against hacking groups has resulted in either hacking or DDOS attacks.
