T-Mobile TV Service Might Be Around the Corner

T-Mobile TV looks like it’s about ready to launch. In a recent filing with the FCC, T-Mobile registered an internet TV set top box called the “T-Mobile Mini”. The device has ethernet, HDMI in and out with pass-through, and a USB port, presumably for software updates. According to Variety, the box has an 802.11AC wireless chip onboard as well as Bluetooth.

T-Mobile acquired Layer3 TV last December, so it was only time until they integrated it into their services. Those watching the T-Mobile “Hold The Phone” livestream back in August were spamming the chat wanting T-Mobile TV to be discussed, but it was only mentioned briefly at the end of the broadcast. Hopefully we’ll hear something concrete soon.
