Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year. So when Rockstar’s Propaganda service sent me an email just before midnight, I knew something big was being announced. Much like Grand Theft Auto V, the latest Red Dead game will feature an enormous open world online game mode. This new mode for Red Dead is aptly being titled “Red Dead Online”.

If you recall, the original Red Dead Redemption had a similar online multiplayer mode where you could hook up with friends, do missions, get in duels, and explore the map. Red Dead Online follows the highly successful GTA V Online and promises new experiences to be added as time goes by.

Red Dead Online’s public beta is scheduled to go live this November. If you are looking to get into the online beta, you must own a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2, which releases October 26th this year.
