T-Mobile’s First LTE Towers Going Live

I have T-Mobile service and have been looking forward to testing out the latest revision of LTE since it was announced last year. Now it looks like that wish will be granted soon. According to several reports, T-Mobile will be launching LTE towers beginning with in Las Vegas in the upcoming weeks. T Mobile’s LTE towers will be running the latest release (R10) and will operate on the AWS bands.

This looks like a test run right now , but that’s usually a good sign that they are going to start pushing releases in bigger cities. Vegas is their test city, as shown last year when they debuted 42Mbps HSPA+.

We’ll provide more information as it comes out. Now to find a compatble device to start scoping out towers…
