Windows 10 is Adding a Dark Theme for File Explorer & New Clipboard

Microsoft released a new preview build of Windows 10 (version 17666) that includes some pretty cool features that will eventually roll out to normal Windows users after things are tested. The biggest one for me is extending the dark theme they added a while back to the Windows File Explorer. Dark backgrounds and light text is so much easier on the eyes to me than bright backgrounds and dark text. I’m glad they listened to the feedback for that.

The other feature that should be interesting is expanding the capability of the clipboard on Windows 10. In this new build, you can use Windows + V to bring up the new clipboard experience, which allows you to access your clipboard history. Additionally, you can sync your clipboard across your other Windows 10 devices that you are signed into. The clipboard history currently supports plain text, HTML and image less than 1MB.

I’ve only highlighted the things that I’m looking forward to, so for the full list of new features and bug fixes, you can read the full blog post here.
