Goodbye Internet Explorer, Hello Microsoft Edge

Project Spartan, Microsoft’s new web browser for Windows 10, finally has a name: Microsoft Edge. Edge is set to replace Internet Explorer on Microsoft’s upcoming operating system and features the voice assistant Cortana, from the popular Halo franchise.

Edge is trying to distinguish itself from the bad rep Internet Explorer has created over the years, so the look and feel of the browser was redesigned from the bottom up. Edge has a flat, minimalist design and adds a built-in reader, on-screen note taking and has sharing integration for various social medias.

Shortly after announcing Edge, Microsoft published a video demonstrating some of the browser’s features. We’ll demo it once that becomes available and post up our input, so stay tuned.
