Halo 2 Anniversary Edition Won’t Be 1080P

Honest question for console gamers; do you find it acceptable for the “next gen” games to run at less than 1920 x 1080? I’ve observed a number of games being released at 1600 x 900 or even less. To me, that’s unacceptable given the hardware and the cost of the games.

The upcoming Halo 2 HD remaster won’t be running at 1920 x 1080, but a rather paltry and strange 1328 x 1080 at 60 frames per second. At least the rest of the games in the collection are in 1920 x 1080.

I’m not picking on Halo 2, there are plenty of games doing this, but how can a first party developer do this with an 10 year old game?

I’d personally settle for a PC release of the game, but I doubt that.
