Sharp Producing 443ppi 5″ 1080P LCD Screens

Sharp has begun production of 5″ 1080P LCD screens, which have a pixel density of 443 ppi. Sharp is scheduled to demonstrate the devices at CEATEC in Japan, which runs from October 2nd through the 6th. The displays are over 1.3 times the pixel density of current LCDs, so hopefully we’ll be seeing this technology in upcoming smartphones and tablets.
