Left 4 Dead DLC The Sacrifice

Valve announced, in an exclusive interview with Game Trailers TV, new DLC for Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, as well as a digital comic release. Before the maps are released, a 150 plus page digital comic will be released in four parts this September, following the characters from the first Left 4 Dead game. It is supposed to give background stories for each of the characters and then give you one version of what happens, Bill’s death.

The Sacrifice will be available for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 – and is supposed to allow you to choose who will be sacrificed to save the rest of the team. The explanation for the map being available for Left 4 Dead 2 was interesting, “we didn’t want make you have to go buy Left 4 Dead 1”. Nonetheless, the DLC will undoubtedly have its differences specific to each game.

The Left 4 Dead 2 version will allow you to play the original Left 4 Dead characters, which would be a relief after their static appearance in the Left 4 Dead 2 DLC, The Passing.

If two DLC maps weren’t enough, Left 4 Dead 2 will receive “everyone’s favorite map”, No Mercy. There weren’t too many details regarding how this would be done, but it should prove interesting.
