Droid 2 Gets Android 2.3 Update

Droid 2 users can now add themselves to the Gingerbread List, as Verizon has just launched an OTA  Update for Android 2.3. Users will be able to go into the “About Phone” menu and select “System Update” and access the over-the-air update. The update is only about 103MB – so most users will get the update in under 2 minutes. The install may take longer than that to complete, but with the numerous UI and performance updates, its well worth the wait.

Update:
In case you haven’t noticed, Droid 2 users, this update has yet to show up. Apparently Motorola isn’t ready to take this out of the oven yet. Stay tuned for an update.
