      • If your tv has this function, which most do
      • Lets you control your tv and this box with one remote
      • Automatic input switching

Cons:

  • Not stupid proof
    • Requires tinkering to get it configured
  • Air Mouse is wonky
    • Not calibrated and gets lost on screen regularly
    • I found myself using the motion activation on and off to try and get it centered
and ultimately ended up just using my Logitech Touchpad Keyboard
  • LAN connection not automatically enabled when connected
    • When you want to go from wifi to ethernet, you’ll have to go into the settings to turn it on.
    • This is a feature the Element Ti5 does automatically
  • Underscan by default is stupid (91%)
    • So if you have your device configured and connect it to a different tv or even another port, it will default to being underscanned
    • Not something that you may experience, but I was going from device to device and had to configure this each time
  • No surround sound output
    • I really want two things with a device like this:
    • A lot of functionality, smooth video playback, and surround sound support over HDMI
    • The only way to get surround sound output to work is to
manually configure it configure it through Kodi.
    • I have a tutorial video on how to do this, but it’s annoying. Most people aren’t using surround sound, but if this is a concern for you, then understand that you will have to configure this to get it to work.

Overall, I was very impressed with the full package they have here. There is enough content that is easily accessible to someone who isn’t tech savvy, and tons more for someone who wants to put the effort in. If you use Plex and want a device to stream your Plex Library, the Kodi plugin works exceptionally well and has surround sound output once you configure it.
