Star Trek TNG Blu-ray Side-by-Side Comparison [HD]

It was a nerd's dream coming true – Star Trek TNG being remastered from the original 35mm film and transferred to Blu-ray. All Star Trek fans have had until now are the same Betamax transfers to DVD with the audio editing done so the show is in surround sound. For a while, it looked like 480i was all we were going to get to satisfy our TNG needs.

With the Blu-ray release nearing, a video has seeped out comparing the original clips next to the remastered ones, and it looks great. Enjoy the greatest Sci-fi show in 1080P:

– “Encounter At Farpoint” – the groundbreaking pilot that started it all.

– “Sins Of The Father” – Back in the Klingon Empire, Worf faces a charge of treason, and defends his father’s honor.

– “The Inner Light” – Picard lives a lifetime – in an instant – on a long-dead planet, whose inhabitants want only to be remembered.

Audio tracks available on the disc – English 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, English Stereo Surround, French Mono, German Stereo, Castilian Mono, Japanese Mono
