‘Sprint As You Go’ Service Confirmed – Launching Jan 25th – No Hidden Data Caps or Speed Throttling

Sprint has confirmed they are launching a no-contract prepaid service called ‘Sprint As You Go’, which will be launched on the 25th of January. At $70 per month, one can use this service with a smart phone, or can pay $50 / month for featured phones.

Limits have been set however to ‘Sprint As You Go’ users; as they will be unable to access WiFi tethering and Sprint Navigation. However, they will see no hidden data caps or speed throttling in their plan.

Spring-on-the-Go is Launching with the Following phones:

Samsung M400 – a basic flip phone priced at $49.99

Samsung  Array – a slide-out keyboard feature phone priced at $79.99

LG Optimus Elite – An entry level smartphone running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)

Samsung Victory – An Samsung Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) device with TouchWiz UI with LTE (where available)
