New DTS:X Format Separates Audio by Object

The new DTS audio format presented at CES 2015 has some cool new features that should greatly improve the sound in movies and TV. DTS:X separates the audio into sources. One sound source that stands to benefit listeners is the channel for dialogue. By having a separate source for dialogue, you can independently increase the volume for films and TV shows.

Traditionally, you would turn up the volume for the center channel, but this is not completely effective, as the center also carries other audio.
