Google ChromeOS Update Looks More Like Windows

A recent update to Google Chrome OS’s windows manager makes it look like… well Windows. The Google Chrome OS developers have taken the best UI concepts from Windows 7/8, Mac OS, and from the various Linux GUIs out there to create the new Aura window manager.

Google’s Aura window manager adds a desktop, movable windows, and is setup to be hardware accelerated, so all the graphically intensive transitions and effects will be offset to the graphics processor, rather than eating up CPU. We will be testing this out later today on an emulator with hardware acceleration.
