As part of their revolt against the U.S. government, Anonymous continues Operation: Global Blackout to multiple sites as their next target is Facebook. Asking for the public’s help, they cannot take down Facebook’s 6,000 servers. They continue to inform us that they have already attacked CBS and Warner Brothers. In their video they give general users instructions on how they can be a part of taking down Facebook.
Operation Global Blackout Part 2:
In their video they released just this morning, they ask users to download a program that will attack one of Facebook’s multiple servers. Since all users must do this at the same time, they have asked the public to click “I’ma Chargin My Laser!” on January 28th, 2012 at 12am. They also claim that there is no way users can get caught since they cannot take down that large of a group.
Anonymous has already made threats to take down the FBI’s home page in a recent tweet:
